A Sparkling Review of the Kia Optima, Soul, and Rio

What does GeekDad Matt Blum from Wired.com have to say about the 2012 Kia lineup? Well, in a word, "Excellent."1
He admits, he's not much of a fan of Korean cars, but at the end of the day he was very impressed by the latest models from Kia, including the Rio, Optima, and the Soul. All three come standard with equipment like USB/iPod connectivity, Bluetooth handsfree connectivity, and a rearview camera. He says they all feature peppy engines and a slew of comfort and safety features to make drivers and passengers happy on both long and short road trips.
But, which one is his favorite of the three? By far, the Optima Hybrid.
Blum says that at the end of the day, it was hard to give it back to Kia. He loved the zippy acceleration from the 206-horsepower engine combined with up to 40 mpg on the highway; the stylish exterior; roomy and nearly luxuriously-appointed interior; and the larger-than-average moonroof.
He says, "All in all, the three Kia vehicles I tried out were excellent...I could easily see myself buying any of the three. The Optima, honestly, was probably the best car I've ever driven."2 Quite the compliment from a guy who makes his living writing about the cars he test drives, wouldn't you say?
