Kia Sorento Takes US Safety Award

The all new Kia Sorento has been honored this week with the "Top Safety Pick" in the midsize SUV class U.S. Safety Award. The honor was given by the U.S.-based Insurance Institute for Highway Safety on Wednesday.

The Sorento earned a top rating of "good" in occupant protection tests for front, side, rear, and rollover crashes. All Sorento models are equipped with a vehicle dynamic control system which improves the safety of a vehicle's stability.

Available now to test drive at Lokey Kia at 27960 U.S. Hwy 19 North, Clearwater, FL 33761. The Sorento may be a from Korea brand Kia, but the car is built right here in America.

The Kia Sorento began its production phase last year at a plant in Georgia. Once decimated by the economy one small town in the southern United States has been reborn thanks to Kia's assembly line.

As if the news of a US Top Safety pick isn't great enough for Kia, the all new Forte was just awarded the Edmunds Consumers' Top Rated(R) Vehicle Award.

According to the Edmund's press release, Kia Motors America announced the 2010 Kia Forte compact sedan has been named the top-rated sedan under $15,000 in the Edmunds.com Consumers' Top Rated® vehicle awards for 2010.

Forte earned strong marks for its excellent overall value, wealth of standard features, being one of the best-looking small cars on the market and most fun-to-drive vehicles in its class.

"As one of several new vehicles to roll out under Kia's exciting new design direction, accolades such as this Edmunds.com award, which provides feedback directly from owners, are evidence of Kia's commitment to consumers by offering vehicles with the content buyers want without breaking the pocketbook," said Michael Sprague, vice president of marketing.

So head on down to check out the all new, and very safe Kia Forte and Sorento at Lokey Kia at 27960 U.S. Hwy 19 North, Clearwater, FL 33761.
